01 — The firm

Brixia Advisory operates where conventional advisors stop — at the convergence of law, capital markets, regulatory power and institutional intelligence.

The firm serves boards, executives and sovereign institutions on the mandates that define their trajectory. Not a collection of service lines — a single integrated capability, engaged at principal level, bound by absolute discretion.

02The Brixia doctrine

Three principles govern every mandate — they are not sequential. They operate simultaneously, as one integrated capability.

I
Access

The right conversation, with the right person, at the right moment. Institutional networks built over years at ministerial level, across EU bodies, African governments and international financial institutions.

II
Intelligence

Before any decision, any transaction, any market entry — Brixia Advisory delivers the political, regulatory and commercial intelligence that conventional advisors cannot. What is not written is often what determines the outcome.

III
Execution

Strategy without delivery is analysis. The firm does not produce reports and disengage — it remains engaged through the negotiation, the regulatory process, the transaction close, until the mandate is complete.

03Expertise

Four practice areas.
One standard of execution.

Each mandate draws simultaneously on the firm's access, intelligence and execution capabilities. Deliberately limited in number. Select an area to explore its scope.

Understanding who decides, on what basis, and how a position is best presented. Engagement with ministries, regulators and public counterparties, prepared and conducted at senior level.

Government & institutional relations
Regulatory and policy environment analysis
Positioning ahead of decisions and approvals

Assessing whether a market is worth entering, in what sequence, and with whom. Partner identification and qualification, joint-venture structures, and local representation where a permanent presence is not warranted.

Partner identification & qualification
Joint ventures & partnership structures
Local positioning & representation

Sectors where government and regulation determine commercial outcomes. Depth is strongest in defence and aerospace, where the founder has operated as a company director rather than as an observer.

Defence & security — procurement, offsets, programme frameworks
Aerospace & aviation — MRO strategy, EASA approvals, industrial partnerships
Industrial & infrastructure projects
Regulated and government-adjacent markets

Origination, counterparty assessment and transaction coordination — alongside the client's legal and financial advisers. Brixia is not a regulated financial adviser and provides no investment services.

04Mandates

When clients call.

A short account of the situations in which clients call.

A board requires independent strategic counsel before a major decision.

An independent read on the decision — stress-testing the strategy, challenging the assumptions, and saying what the internal team may not. Available under retainer.

Board advisoryStrategic counselRetainer

A regulatory approval or government contract requires institutional access beyond current reach.

The decision-making structure is mapped — who holds authority, who influences them, what arguments succeed — and engagement is conducted directly with the relevant interlocutors.

Government relationsRegulatory approvalProcurement

A defence programme requires navigating procurement, offset obligations and industrial partnerships simultaneously.

The firm provides the full-spectrum mandate — bid positioning, offset strategy design, industrial partnership structuring and the ministerial-level engagement that determines outcomes in defence acquisition.

Defence procurementOffset strategyIndustrial policy

A cross-border transaction requires political and commercial intelligence beyond standard due diligence.

The intelligence layer underneath is provided — political exposure, counterparty standing, regulatory risk, reputational landscape and the stakeholder dynamics that will determine whether the transaction succeeds. Delivered before commitment, not after.

Due diligencePolitical riskPre-transaction

Entry into Morocco or the MENA region requires the right partner and the ability to operate at local level.

Partners are identified and qualified, frameworks structured, and discussions held in the language and register of the counterparty. Relationships built over years rather than sourced on request.

A critical initiative cannot be managed internally and requires a senior principal to lead it.

A negotiation, a restructuring, a transformation that cannot sit with the internal team. The firm takes the mandate as principal — engaged at executive level and accountable for delivery.

07The firm

A small firm.
An extended network.

Brixia Advisory is built on a simple principle: sensitive mandates are handled at senior level, without intermediaries and without delegation.

The principal

The firm is led by its founding principal — a business lawyer by training, former adviser within a Belgian federal ministerial cabinet, and company director in the aerospace industry. Every mandate is conducted personally at that level.

The network

Where a mandate requires it, the firm draws on a network of associates and independent experts — lawyers, regulatory specialists, engineers, former public officials — engaged case by case according to the nature of the file.

Engagement models

Discrete mandates, fixed-scope assignments or ongoing advisory under retainer. The firm acts in its own name or alongside the client's existing counsel — never in substitution for them.

Our work is confidential by nature.
